October 09, 2025

Date: Thursday, October 9, 2025

We are pleased to announce that the boil order issued on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, has been lifted, effective immediately. The Sangamon Valley Public Water District has completed thorough testing of the water supply, and results confirm that the water quality now meets all safety standards.

Affected Area No Longer Under Boil Order:
• South Lake of the Woods Road - Including the Sportsman's Club Campground & Forest Preserve

• Karadan Drive

• Ranch Lane

• Sugar Lane

• Summit Ridge Road

Residents in the previously affected area can now resume normal water usage without the need to boil water before consumption or use in food preparation.

We recommend that you take the following steps:
1. Run all cold water faucets for at least 5 minutes to flush your pipes.
2. Dispose of any ice made during the boil order period.
3. Run water softeners through a regeneration cycle.
4. Replace water filter cartridges in any water treatment devices.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation during this period. The Sangamon Valley Public Water District is committed to providing safe, high-quality water to all our customers.
